Sophia turns 4!!!!

I just couldn't believe our baby girl was turning 4!!!  Where has time gone?  And the reality was hitting that before too long we were going to be welcoming a baby brother in to our little family of 4!
Sophia had a family get together and then an outdoor bday party with her friends!  It was a beautiful day outside and we got to have a hotdog roast, hot chocolate, and cake pops!
At 4 years old Sophia is pretty awesome.  Such a great personality.  She has the biggest heart in the world and loves to be with her family and friends.  She is fiesty, strong, determined, loving, kind, witty, goofy, smart, and stubborn!  She is become such an athletic girl which I never imagined because she was always so slow moving and clumsy as a toddler.  But this determined little girl has learned to do the monkey bars, swim the width of a deep pool, and skate on hockey skates at 3 years old!  I can't wait to see what 4 brings us!!!!

Catch up time!!!! Christmas 2012!

Christmas 2012 was our last as a family of 4!  Busy and fun, filled with lots of activities and family time!
We attended our first Christmas concert for Sophia this year and had all of her grandparents there to
watch!  It was mighty cute and a proud moment watching our confident little angel perform.
My parents were here for Christmas 2012 which was really nice.  We got to spend lots of time with them and enjoy so many outings for their first Christmas in St. Albert.
The girls were spoiled by Santa and Adam and I enjoyed nothing more than watching the excitement on our little girls faces while they opened their gifts :-)
Here are a few pics from the holiday season!

Happy 2nd Birthday Elise!!!

I just can't believe that my baby girl is 2 years old!!!!  We had a family birthday party with cousins, Aunties, and all 3 sets of Grandparents!  Elise had a blast and knew that she was the light of the party!
She even sang "Happy Birthday" to herself and loved blowing out her candles.
She was vibrating with excitement while opening her presents too :-)
Very hard to believe 2 years has gone by since that little munchkin arrived...

At 2 years old Elise is quite the little character.  She is very snuggly and needs several quiet cuddles throughout the day which I LOVE!!!!  She is a soo soo addict like her big sister was and I am sure we will have a bit of a hard time getting it away from her.
She is small for her age but man is her personality MIGHTY!  She can be a little bit shy in crowds or around new people but she does not let her sister or other kids push her around.  She stands up for herself and will talk back to her sister any chance she can get.
She is quite an independent player which is very different from her sister.  Sophia has always had to be engaged at all times with people.  Elly will find something she wants to play with and spend quiet time on her own just playing.  It is very nice :-)

She remains an excellent sleeper averaging 12-13 hrs of sleep a night.  We literally just have to mention bed time and she will head in that direction on her own!

She is a very bright little girl too.  Talking in 5-6 word sentences by 2 years old, trying to count, singing songs and continues to rock potty training!

She has the best facial expressions and can easily get her way by just blinking her big blue eyes or flashing her giant dimples.  She knows she's cute and it is working for her right now!!!

I LOVE her to bits and pieces and am so enjoying being her Mama and watching her grow up.  I would like time to slow down just a little bit though...

Adam Becomes a FIREFIGHTER!!!!!

One of the biggest highlights of 2012 for our family was Adam fulfilling his life long dream of becoming an Edmonton Firefighter!  It was a long time in the making and lots of hard work and determination but he aced it!  I am so proud of him!!!!
Late summer and fall were very busy and stress-full but so worth it :-)

Halloween 2012

This year we had Snowhite and a dwarf for Halloween!  They were sooooooo cute!
Elly especially with her little beard.  She will kill me some day but boy was it ever funny!
For actual trick or treating it was FREEZING cold outside and a bit of a blizzard so the girls dressed up in warmer costumes for that.
Sophia LOVED Halloween this year and giggled at every single house we went to.  Elise participated but quickly got sick of the cold weather and just wanted Halloween to be over!
